As I looked in the market place I could find many services to support the necessary accounting that businesses need and also corporate Finance Director support. Having trained as a Chartered Accountant in the profession working with clients ranging from small businesses to larger limited company organisations I then made the decision to move into industry and that was over ten years ago. Since then my career has been broad and varied which has given me great experience in small organisations to large FTSE listed businesses. Industries include hi-tech start-ups, telecommunications, film and television, business outsourcing and hospitality. This has meant travelling on a national and international basis to get to the heart of where business support is needed and also to build relationships with my customers.

Working in such varied environments has enabled me to enhance my ability to question and understand an organisation and its requirements. This allows me to quickly get up to speed and start to put processes and controls in place to enhance financial governance that lead to supporting the successful delivery of financial and commercial information. Budgets, forecasts, long range plans, management accounts and management information form part of the suite of documents that are absolutely critical for any organisation to understand where they have been, where they are and where they are going.
